Freshers Fair
White Ribbon Supporters at MMU set up a White Ribbon Group in the Students Union and held their first event, a stall at the Freshers fair.
Accessing new students is a crucial issue, and having a presence at events like this is vital, as violence against female students runs at horrendous levels at this time of year.
Club Night
The same group of students ran a successful DJ Club night at the Students Union at the end of Freshers week.
North West Regional DV RoadShow
21,000 ribbons in counter displays were delivered to the North West Regional DV roadshow at City of Manchester stadium . The joy of early orders

The first local White Ribbon Group in the UK based in Edinburgh had it’s first meeting. It intends to meet twice a month
Photo Shoot for Cosmopolitan
Chris Green went to a photo shoot for Cosmopolitan magazine related to his nomination for Man of the Year because of the expansion of White Ribbon Campaign. They even had a set of clothes ready for him, and took two and a half hours to take his picture, including a long time unsurprisingly in make-up- “We can take 10 years off you” said the talented make up artist
Conference in India
As a result of contacts made at the Violence Prevention Alliance meeting in Scotland, White Ribbon Campaign was invited to attend a meeting of the White Ribbon Campaign in Punjab, but no-one was available to attend
